Wine Lover? What Would You Say About This One?

Wine lovers have a time, a place and a wine that take their breathe away. There is that specific wine that even when you have your eyes closed you can still taste. A wine that you wish you can have as your house pour just for your daily consumption. Wine fairs can be found all around the world  including London international wine fair. Many people just love wine. Do you have an idea of what I am talking about? This is the kind of wine that commands respect in a conversation of any kind. There are several wines on the retail shelf, but there are five that are famous in Europe. Provided below is the list of the top five world-famous wines.

1. Domaine de la Romanee-Conti(DRC)
Two wines have caught the attention of many collectors. This particular wine type, often called DRC, is one of them. It gets its name from its most known vineyard, the Romanee-Conti. This vineyard is a 4.4 acre winery and land in Burgundy, France. This is the wine Pinot Noir that producers around the world find themselves comparing to. You should forget investing in the stock market, gold or your children's future and invest in DRC.

2. Chateau Margaux
For the fear of this top five list being Domaine de la Romanee-Conti (DRC) and nine from Bordeaux, I made a decision of selecting just one. I had earlier mentioned that there are two wine types that every collector wants, DRC being one and Chateau Margaux being the other. Margaux featured in the original premier Cru classification that took place in 1855 and today it is still regarded as one of the best Bordeaux wines. It holds the record of the most expensive bottle that has ever been broken. Today, a bottle of this great wine is going for approximately $1100 a pop.

3. Chateau Petrus
For this next top five wine, we have to leave the Medoc on the considered left bank and rather jump to Bordeaux's right bank. Its grapes come from vineyard that is about 28 acres in the inside of Pomerol. Getting your hands on the Petrus bottle can sometimes prove to be quite difficult even than breaking into Fort Knox.

4. Chateau d'Yquem
This wine is number four on the top five list and it is a sweet and white wine that is produced from southern Bordeaux. It was the only wine that was given the status" Premier Cru Superieur" that is translated as "Superior First Growth" in the official classification that took place in Bordeaux in 1855. This wine is made from fungus that is rare and thus it is expensive.

5. Dom Perignon
Having to select the last wine from France in my top five list took a lot of consideration. I chose this wine because I truly believe that it is the ultimate symbol of class and celebration. This wine may have been made popular by rap stars as well as celebrities, but it is iconic and elegant.

The above mentioned wines symbolize not only wine status and quality in Europe s, but also the world status. Whatever you feel about these great wines, there is one thing that is certain; they are the most famous wines in the world.
